Mountain biking is the sport of riding bicycles off-road, generally over rough terrain. Mountain biking uses specially designed bikes which have features designed to make them stronger and hold up in the outdoor environment.

The individual sport requires endurance, core strength and balance. The rider also needs bike handling skills, problem solving, risk assessment and self-reliance. Mountain biking can be performed almost anywhere from a backyard to a gravel road, but the majority of mountain bikers ride on off-road trails.

OutBeyond can bring you a mountain bike fundamentals program to your school. The program equips your students with the essential skills and understanding required for mountain biking in the bush.

OutBeyond trainers will instruct the students on how to brake, steer, pedal, take off competently and stop suddenly.  Students are taught to look ahead, assess the path and safe ways to navigate the sometimes challenging terrain.

We will provide mountain bikes, helmets, safety & maintenance equipment to create an extraordinary experience for your students in your school backyard!
